Liriano Goes Seven,Twins Win

On Saturday night, Fransicico Liriano proved why he should have won the AL Final Vote. He went 7 srtong innings allowing just 4 hits and striking out 8 batters. He also holds onto the league leading ERA with an ERA of 1.83.Liriano is now 10-1,and he becomes the Twins first pitcher with double-digit wins this year.

The Minnesota Twins are now 47-38,and now just one game from again being 10 games above the .500 mark. In the win, Hunter hit his 14th homerun of the season and Jason Bartlett added 2 RBI's and now has 8 on the season. Joe Mauer went 0-4 on Saturday and his batting average have slipped to .383, however he still lead the league by almost 30 points.

The Minnesota Twins will go for another win on Sunday when they send out Johan Santana(9-4) vs. John Koronka (6-5). On Sunday the Twins will also be playing to get 10 games above the .500 mark. It will also be the Twins last game before the All-Star break.
