Twins Pitching Keeps Falling, While Young Players Shine

The Minnesota Twins have now lost 3 Straight games after losing to the Texas Rangers 9-4 on Friday night. When the Twins were on their awesome winning streak they had Radke, Silva, and Bonser all pitching well. But now they have lost three straight and all three of these pitchers have either been knocked out early in the game or have pitched very poorly.

The Minnesota Twins however with the loss Friday did get some good encouragement as Pat Neshek, who was recently recalled, pitched 2 scoreless innings allowing just one hit and striking out one as well.

The Twins kept the power and hitting going, at least with the young players, as three young players Kubel, Morneau, and Mauer each hit another homer. They now have: Morneau 23, Mauer 7, and Kubel 7. At least the young players are performing,(including pitching) that makes the Twins future look bright.

Speaking of young players, Francisco Lirinano(9-1) will take on John Rheinecker(4-2) tomorrow as the Twins try to get back with their winning ways. (Game starts @ 7:05 on FSN North)
