Twins Updates, AL Wins

The 2006 All-Star game is over and the American League has won again 3-2 after scoring two runs in the ninth inning. Johan Santana pitched 1 inning and didn't give up any runs. Joe Mauer went 0-2 and was left on base, and Francisco Liriano didn't pitch for the American League along with 5 other All-Star pitchers. The American League is now 9-0-1 in the last 10 years of the All-Star game, however they still trail in the overall all-time match up. Along with the bragging rights, the AL will also have homefield advantage in the World Series.

Since Liriano didn't pitch in the All-Star game, he may now pitch the first game after the All-Star break for the Twins. If he does, he will most likely be followed by Brad Radke, Johan Santana, and the most recent callup Scott Baker.

Today Carlos Silva was scheduled to see a consultant on his injured leg, the Twins will decide where to go from there based on the extent of the injury.

Timberwolves Update: The Minnesota Timberwolves have reportedly signed former Toronto PG Mike James. The reports says that the Wolves signed him to a 4-Year $25 Million deal with a bonus if he gets traded. The Mavericks and Rockets wouldn't give him this or a 4 year deal, they were only guaranteeing him 3 years.
