White and Bonser Lift Twins

It wasn't a very exciting game, but the Minnesota Twins managed to win it with great pitching from Bonser and a 2 run homerun from Rondell White. Boof Bonser went 6.1 innings, allowing only 1 run and strikingout 6 batters. The game was a homecoming for Bonser as it was the first time he has every pitched in his hometown at the major league level. Bonser is now 4-5 and has pitched good in his last 6 outings.

The Twins offense was quiet and they only got 6 hits, however Rondell White hit a 2 run homerun to give them a 2-1 lead and from there they never looked back. White also had a double and the Twins also got two hits from Luis Castillo in his return to the lineup.

The bullpen was good as they had to go 2.2 innings after Bonser left. They Twins first brought in Crain for 1.1 innings and he allowed just one hit and no runs. Reyes then came in to get the final out of the eighth. To close out the game, the Twins brought in Joe Nathan and he pitched a scoreless ninth for his 29th save of the year.
