Ford Out 6 Weeks

Twins outfielder Lew Ford had surgery this past offseason and so far this spring has been having trouble with his knee. Now, he will fly back to Minnesota to have arthroscopic surgery on his right knee later this week.

Ford will be out for up to six weeks with the least amount of time being four weeks. This will give him the chance to get healthy and should allow the Twins to give his roster spot to either an extra pitcher for the bullpen or another position player.

I''ll have more on this as I find more out. I found this information from a reliable source, La Velle E. Neal. Jason Williams also has a post up, and mentions some interesting names as replacements. I have to say that I would really like to see the names that he mentions though.
