First Twins Trade...

Well, the Twins have made their first trade of the season today according to Joe Christensen. Don't get your hopes up, it isn't a huge trade, but it is a trade that I hinted at just a few days ago here.

The deal is involving Levale Speigner, who was picked up from the Twins organization in the Rule 5 Draft earlier this year by the Washington Nationals. As I mentioned in that post earlier this week, Speigner was sent to the minors, but since he was a Rule 5 pick, he had to be offered back to the Twins for $25,000 before he could go to the minors.

So, the Nationals decided to make a deal with the Twins so that they could keep him. The deal is that the Twins will allowed the Nationals to keep and send Speigner to the minor leagues, and in return will receive Darnell McDonald.

McDonald will report to AAA Rochester early this week. Below are his stats so far this season at AAA for the Columbus Clippers and his stats least season at AA.
