Revere, Morneau Updates

Ben Revere was the Minnesota Twins first round pick in this year's Major League Baseball Draft. When the Twins drafted him, word was that he would like to sign early, and get going on his career. Well, as we found out not to long ago, he kept that promise and signed a deal early and reported to Fort Myers.

Late this week, Ben Revere was added to the Minnesota Twins GCL team which consists of their young minor leaguers. Revere played his first game just yesterday, and also played in an afternoon game today.

So far, the results have been good as Revere has played very well. Obviously we can't judge him on two games in the GCL League, but it's great news that he has already gotten into action just weeks after the draft, and that he has started well.

Below are his numbers after two games, and I'm going to try to keep you fans updated throughout the rest of the season on how he is doing.

Morneau Update:
Meanwhile, Justin Morneau will stay one more night in the hospital before being checked by doctors tomorrow and hopefully then heading to Minnesota with the team. Here is what Joe had to say.
The specialist decided Morneau should stay another night
in the hospital. He will have blood tests Sunday morning and another X-Ray, but
the team fully expects him to be released from the hospital in the morning and
then fly to Minnesota on the team flight following Sunday’s game. For now the
diagnosis is still a bruised right lung.
