Futures All-Star Game

The Futures All-Star Game kicked off the festivities for this week, and the Twins had one farmhand playing in the game -- Matt Tolbert. Matt Garza was supposed to join him, but with his recent call up, was not allowed to pitch in the game.

Tolbert didn't start for the USA Team, but did enter the game in the sixth inning to bat. He didn't receive a hit, and struck out in his one at-bat. Interestingly enough, Tolbert did not enter the game in his normal position, but instead entered the game at first base. He was set to bat in the ninth inning, but was left on-deck after the final out.

If anybody does want to know, the World won this season's match up by a final score of 7-2. For a more in depth story of the whole game, make sure to check out this story.

Homerun Derby:
The Homerun Derby will kick off the Major League events, and that will take place tomorrow. As you should already know, the event will include our very own Justin Morneau. The rest of the field was finalized today, and Morneau's competition will be the following: Albert Pujols, Prince Fielder, Ryan Howard, Miguel Cabrera, Magglio Ordonez and Vladimir Guerrero.

Also, after failing to get a few different people to throw to him in the derby, Justin has decided to go with his coach, Ron Gardenhire.
