Game 93: Detroit Tigers
The Twins lost the first game of a huge three game series with the Tigers tonight 1-0. Matt Garza pitched awesome, and allowed just an unearned run. The bullpen was very good as well, and as you can tell, the offense really struggled. With the loss, the Twins fell another game back in the division and are now seven games back in all.
Since his call up, Matt Garza has impressed everybody. Tonight was no exception as he went seven innings and allowed just a run that game from an error. Garza's final line was 7 innings, 3 hits, 0 earned runs and 3 strikeouts. Unfortunately, Garza was charged with the loss and is now 1-1 on the season with a very good 0.00 ERA in three appearances.
The bullpen picked up the final two innings, and kept the deficit at just one run. Matt Guerrier pitched the eighth and allowed a hit but nothing else. Neshek was in for the ninth, and did much the same allowing a hit but no runs.
The offense was off, and again showed that they are very inconsistent with their performances and highly unpredictable. The Twins scored no runs and collected just three hits. Two of those hits came from Luis Castillo while the one other hit came from catcher Joe Mauer.
All I can say is that tonight was another showing of why we need another bat, and also a showing of why we can't get within five games -- INCONSISTENCY.

I've completed another interview with an upcoming player, and was wondering when you guys would like me to post it. I wasn't sure if I should wait for an off day, or get it up before then. Let me know when you think I should in the comments, and I'll go off that.
The Minnesota Twins put up their new webcam today. The webcam is a camera that is on a building that oversees the building of the new Twins ballpark. It's actually pretty cool, and should be even better when the work starts to pick up.
