He's Finally Back

After missing all but three games this season, Rondell White's stay on the disabled list has finally come to an end. After today's loss to the Angels, the Twins activated Rondell from his long stay on the DL. To make room on the roster for him, the Twins have sent Garrett Jones back to AAA Rochester.

This to me is a bad move, not because of White being back but because Jones is being sent down. In my opinion, there is no need to send him down. He has a much brighter future than other players still on the roster, and it's time to let him get some time up here in the majors. I would understand if he was the only option, but McDonald has looked horrible and if he's been starting over Ford, than even he would be a better choice to go.

Anyways, there's nothing we can do about who is being sent down, so lets focus on White.

Today, the Twins said if all went well, White would have a good chance of getting the call. Well, I'd say that everything did as White went 3-4 with a double and an RBI for the GCL Twins. Ron Gardenhire said that when White joins the team tomorrow, he'd probably see time in the designated hitter role for a while.

All I can say is, I hope he provides an offensive spark and stays heathy for the entire season.
