Mauer Injured in Win

Last night, even with the win, came some bad news. In the eighth inning, while rounding second, Mauer came up lame and limped into third base. The diagnosis after the game was "tightness in his left hamstring". But, after the game, the Twins made a roster move for a catcher.

Chris Heintz was again called up from AAA Rochester, but no roster move was announced. The Twins have said that they will make a decision on who to send down today before the day game in Baltimore.

If Mauer is still sore, I'd expect him to go on the disabled list. If he isn't, it'll be very interesting to see who gets sent down. It could be Garrett Jones, or maybe a relief pitcher. But, there really isn't one person that stands out.

We'll have to wait and see, but lets hope Mauer doesn't hit the DL.
