Twins Notes: 8-15-07

Along with all the games, there have been some things going on with the Twins recently. Here are some different notes to get you caught up on everything Twins.

  1. Jason Kubel has continued to improve over the week, and both Kubel and the Twins staff say that he should return as early as this Friday when the team stats a new series.

  2. In addition to Kubel's injury, there is some encouraging news on the Brian Buscher front. He has been let out of the hospital, and sent to AAA Rochester for his rehab stint. Everything right now shows that he'll be back when possible on the 22nd.

  3. The Twins have signed another high draft pick, this time fourth rounder Reggie Williams. The Twins have signed 14 of their top 16 picks from this year's draft. Today is the deadline to sign all picks, so I'll let you know if anybody else signs.

  4. Tommy Watkins was called up to take Buscher's spot on the roster, but hasn't gotten much of a chance to play. Since his call up, Watkins has appeared in just two games, one as a starter and the other a pinch hit appearance.

  5. Finally, here is an update on how some of the Twins draft picks have been doing with their clubs.

Ben Revere is hitting .318 with 19 RBI and 19 stolen bases in 39 games.
Danny Rams is hitting .246 with 11 RBI in a total of 18 games.
Danny Lehmann is hitting .259 with 3 homeruns and 14 RBI in 14 games.
