The Twins have had been luck all season, not only with inconsistent play, poor bullpen performances and stuff like that, but also with injuries. They've been without Liriano before the season, and then lost Perkins, Reyes and Crain as well. On the offensive side, they've lost Mauer multiple times as well as Cuddyer, Redmond and others.
Today, their poor luck continued, this time with Jose Morales.
Morales was just called up before the series, and in his debut had went 3-3 with some nice hits. But, when Tnyer bunted, Morales was hurt at second. The diagnosis is that he'll miss 2-3 weeks, which is pretty much the rest of the season.
So, what started as a great debut ended as a bad one. It was hard for me to watch, because he was playing so well, and I thought it'd be fun to see how he could help us next season after having a strong year at AAA.
Now, he may not have another chance this season, and we might have to wait until next year.
