More Roster Moves
Well, as you already know, Jose Morales injured his ankle on Saturday when going into second base. It was called an ankle sprain, and instead of risking bringing him back this season, they have instead placed him on the 60-day disabled list.
So, he'll miss the rest of the season. This is to bad, because he played well at AAA, and also looked good in his debut. He should get a fair shot next spring though.
The one thing that putting him on the 60-day does is open a spot on the 40-man roster. So, with that open spot, the Twins have decided to add Matt LeCroy to the team.
This isn't anything big, and he'll help our team about 0%, but I'm not going to say it's stupid either. This might be his last time in the majors ever, and then maybe he'll be some sort of coach with the organization.
Finally, the Twins are set to activate Glen Perkins from the DL on Tuesday. He had a good rehab session today with no pain, and he's ready to return.
That's about all, hopefully we can win some games from here out, get above the .500 mark for the season and give the young guys some playing time.
