Injury Updates

When the season ends, all players get their physicals before officially signing out for the season. This past week, we got some good news on both Liriano and Bartlett.

Jason Bartlett was bothered by neck and shoulder pain all season long, and even missed some time from both of the injuries. On Monday, he underwent another MRI to see if it was possible that he might need surgery to resolve the issue.

The news came back good for Bartlett, as the test results showed no changes from what they saw earlier in the season, and it also showed no damage. Bartlett will now undergo an off-season strength program to attempt to resolve the issue.

The best injury news however came on Francisco Liriano. As we all know, Liriano missed this past season after undergoing Tommy John surgery. The recovery time is normally a year or just a little over, and Liriano seems on track.

Liriano is currently on schedule to be ready to pitch this upcoming spring, and is also on schedule to to start facing some hitters in November.

Barring any setbacks for F-Bomb, this is great news to say the least.
