Small Roster Moves
About a week ago, the Twins outrighted Lew Ford, Tommy Watkins and Josh Rabe off of the 40-man roster. Lew Ford and Josh Rabe have both rejected the move, and have instead elected to become free agents.
In addition to these two players, Matt LeCroy has elected to become a free agent as well. With his previous connections with the team, there was thought that someday he may become involved with the organization. That may still happen, but LeCroy said that he wants to play one more season.
The Twins have also reinstated left handed pitchers Dennys Reyes and Francisco Liriano, right handed pitcher Jesse Crain and catcher Jose Morales from the disabled list.
Finally, Alejandro Machado, who was on the 60-day disabled list this past season and missed the entire year, has been placed with AAA Rochester.
